The Office of International Affairs oversees and administers the major international activities at PSU under the leadership of the Vice Provost, Gil Latz. OIA manages and advises the international student population, study abroad and international internships students, and those seeking overseas scholarship opportunities. It houses centers and institutes that focus on the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. Numerous special programs exist under the direction of OIA to bring foreign students of many backgrounds to the US for short-term study programs to learn about various topics from a US perspective: art, medicine, English language, culture, and sustainability, just to name a few. Finally OIA works closely with those in PSU's international degree program, the International Studies Program, and with the Internationalization Action Council.
