HSK Scholarship
The HSK Winner Scholarship provides outstanding test-takers from PSU’s HSK exam the opportunity to study Chinese language and culture at a Chinese university for one month. Scholarship recipients enjoy free tuition, accommodations, and textbooks. They also enjoy the same living allowance standard as ordinary graduate students would receive from the Chinese Government Scholarship.
The HSK authorities in China provide this scholarship to the PSU applicant who meets the following qualifications:
- not a citizen of China
- native language is not Chinese
- less than 45 years of age
- earns HSK certificate
- must finish with the highest score in one of the major test categories in Portland
If the highest scorer is unable to accept the scholarship it may be given to the next highest test scorer. The Confucius Institute at PSU will notify those who are eligible for the scholarship.
