The D. Paul Fansler Scholarship (deadline: September 1, 2011)

This scholarship was established by Dr. Mel Gurtov, Co-Chair of the Board of the Confucius Institute and Professor Emeritus of Political Science at Portland State University. The scholarship is awarded annually to one or two students from China with F-1 or J-1 student visa attending PSU who wish to utilize their education in a profession in China or U.S. after graduating from PSU; or for non Chinese students whose focus of study is on China or Chinese language

Port of Portland Scholarship for International Trade (deadline: January 1, 2012)

This scholarship is established by Port of Portland. The scholarship is to support students interested and studying International business, Business Administration, Logistics/Supply Chain, Chinese Language. The scholarship awards one or two PSU students per year with the amount of $1,000 for each student or $2000 if there is only one winning and qualified student.

Ma Weihua Chinese Character Scholarship (deadline: January 1, 2012)

This scholarship is established by China’s famous calligrapher Mr. Ma Weihua. The scholarship is to award at least one and where possible two PSU students a year with the amount of $600 each.
