Surrounded by a castle and cathedral dating back to the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, discover the heart of France in Angers. Experience the best of the medieval and the modern in this colorful city nestled in the beautiful Loire Valley. Stroll down cobblestone streets, explore beautiful gardens, and visit museums. Take the high-speed train to Paris, just an hour and a half to the northeast. Study on the campus of the Université Catholique de l’Ouest, close to the city center. Immerse yourself in French life and culture.

Program Focus

AHA offers three intensive language sessions in July, August, and September. These four-week programs provide instruction at beginning, elementary, intermediate, and advanced levels. No prior language experience is required. The required language courses offer a total of 80 contact hours in July and August and 90 contact hours in September. The September session is strongly recommended as preparation for all students applying for the fall quarter, semester, or full academic year options.
