AHA Rosario Language and Justice - Summer
Explore Rosario, located 200 miles upriver from Buenos Aires. Discover its rich history influenced by European ancestry and its flavorful charm evident in the language, style, and cuisine. Visit theaters, art museums, and the busy city center. Take advantage of the pedestrian malls and easy access to the waterfront. Swim and surf at Mar del Plata, explore Iguazu Falls, backpack Patagonia, ski San Carlos de Bariloche, and windsurf and kayak on the Parana River. Immerse yourself in Argentine culture, language, and history.
Designed for students who are interested in rapidly improving their Spanish, this program is also ideal for students interested exploring international justice and human rights. The human rights and criminal justice electives are taught in English. Participants with very little Spanish-speaking experience planning to enroll in the fall program are encouraged to attend a summer session to help build language proficiency. The programs take place in the Rosario Center, a beautiful, historic building in the heart of the city. Courses make extensive use of the city and its resources through academic excursions, and you will live with a local family.
