Hanyang University - Summer
With 10 million inhabitants, Seoul takes its place among the world’s great metropolitan areas. As the political and economic center of Korea,
it is a fascinating venue from which to study Korea’s increasingly important role in global politics and business.
Seoul is blessed with an abundance of museums, cultural and entertainment opportunities, offering great opportunities to the student wanting to be at the crossroads of Asian cultures!
The Hanyang International Summer School (HISS) was founded to advance the University’s efforts to further globalize and progress the quality of its education. The Summer School was designed to provide participants with a better understanding of Korea and Northeast Asia in general. There are day trips to the Incheon pottery village, the DMZ/J.S.A., an opportunity to see a ‘B-boy’ performance, and a field trip to the ancient Shilla Kingdom capital of Gyeongju. By attending day trips and the field trip, students can gain a more profound understanding of Korean culture and traditions.
