Transportation

Upon arrival at PDX in Portland, you have the following transportation options to PSU:

Free transportation

Friends of Overseas Citizens and University Students (FOCUS) can provide you a free ride. You must email them at focushomestays@yahoo.com to request this service in advance.

Public Transportation

The MAX Red Line light rail service runs from the airport to downtown every 15 minutes and costs $2.05. To get to PSU, take the MAX Red Line to the Rose Quarter MAX station and walk to the bus stop across the street. Take the #8 bus and ask the driver to let you off at the Broadway & Montgomery stop at PSU. The entire trip takes approx. 1 hour. See Trimet for more public transportation information.

Blue Star Shuttle to Portland Downtown

The Blue Star Shuttle is the only shuttle to downtown Portland and Lloyd Center. It leaves PDX every 30 minutes to hotels in Lloyd Center and downtown Portland. Taxi Cab

Hiring a taxi is your fastest and most expensive option. Taxis are always available at the airport and will charge about $40 for a ride to PSU. The ride will take 20-40 minutes.
