Portland is the largest city in the state of Oregon with a population of 1,800,000 in the greater metropolitan area. Portland is the center of art, business, science, and engineering within the state.
The city is situated on the banks of two rivers – the Willamette River, which runs through the middle of Portland, and the mighty Columbia River (the 2nd largest river in the USA).
