A professor in the Department of Forestry and Environmental Science at the University of Florence, Dr. Agnoletti is well known in Europe and the United States for his work on the history of landscape conservation, with a particular focus on forest management.

Jovan Babic is Professor of Philosophy at Belgrade University, Serbia and Montenegro. A MacArthur Foundation grant brought him to the US in 2000 to collaborate on a writing project on the ethical dimensions of transitional justice, and he spent three years at PSU as a visiting scholar and professor.

Nejib ben Lazreg received his PhD in Classical Archaeology from the Université de Tunis. He has held a research position with the National Institute of Heritage in Tunisia since 1983, and has directed excavation of major Roman sites at Leptiminus, Thapsus, and Sullectum.

John Davies received his PhD in English from Nottingham University. He has taught American literature in the United Kingdom for over 20 years with an increasing specialization in the works of Northwest writers.


Peter H. Fogtdal, Copenhagen, Denmark

After completing his undergraduate education at California State University, Fullerton, Peter Fogtdal returned to Denmark to write for radio, television, and the stage. Best known for his satire and historical prose, Mr. Fogtdal is the author of nine novels and has received numerous awards for his work.

Educated in Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, and the Republic of San Marino (where he earned his PhD), Tobias Kaempf’s scholarly interests include Italian High Renaissance and Baroque painting, and sculpture and architecture with special emphasis on their theory and design processes.

Ingo Klein brings to his teaching many years experience as a practicing economist, serving as a business consultant in his native Germany and abroad. His international experience includes business development projects in Europe, Asia, and North Africa as well as scientific research and teaching in the United States, India, South Korea, and in Eastern Europe.

A former Fulbright Scholar, Devendra Oza served as Vice Chancellor of Gandhigram Rural University in India after a career in Indian civil service spanning over four decades. He holds advanced degrees in both history and Gandhian thought.

Marie Odile Pitton-Hédon teaches English at the University of Avignon, in the Provence region of France. Her principal research area is 20th Century British literature, particularly narrative and contemporary Scottish literature.

Professor Stampfer earned his PhD in History at Hebrew University, where he is currently an Associate Professor. An expert in East European Jewish history, he has taught courses ranging from the history of religious movements to controversies and reconciliation.

Educated in Mexico, Canada, and the US, Marco Polo Tello Velasco is a professor in the Department of Business Accountancy at the Popular Autonomous University of the State of Puebla. His research interests include the effects of globalism and the US economy on socioeconomic problems in Mexico.


Vladimir Tikhonov, Nizhny Novgorod, Russia

Vladimir Tikhonov is a Professor of Philology at Nizhny Novgorod Linguistic University, where he also serves as Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research. He has been a visiting professor at several American universities, teaching courses on Russian language, communication, cultural heritage, and media.

Kenji Tominomori earned his PhD from Hokkaido University, where he taught for many years. Professor Emeritus at Hokkaido University and at Obirin University, from which he recently retired, Dr. Tominomori is an expert on both the Japanese domestic economy and international economy.

Professor Zhan received his MA from the Department of History at Hangzhou University, where he now teaches. He travels and lectures widely at American universities and at international conferences including the Friends World Program, Wharton International Forum, and the Symposium on International Education.


Cristina Ziliana (Italy), Business Administration

Cristina Ziliana is Professor of Direct, Database and Internet Marketing at the University of Parma, where she also earned a Full Honors Degree in Economics. She was a visiting doctoral student at Oxford and Stirling Universities in the United Kingdom before earning her PhD in Marketing from the University of Milan.
